We have spent two weeks enjoying our new tub. We’ve tried it out in a few settings so far and it seems to meet our expectations. The filtering system works great (we know this because the dog jumped in and the tub looked like a scene from Harry and the Hendersons), the seating is wonderful for a group of us and our friends (we aren’t oddly playing footsie with each other), and the change in chemicals from our previous tub is wonderful as we don’t have that ‘hot tub smell’ on ourselves or our clothes. We are also really quite pleased with the jets, we can set them each with a different pressure setting and I don’t have to settle for what my husband has for his settings, I can set my own. This tub is a very nice upgrade!

Bought this Spa a month ago. Our old spa had a wide lip running around the spa where you could put cups. The Sundance Hamilton has a narrow lip that will on support cups and the cup holders are behind you so not very user friendly.

Also, went to the dealer (Champange Spa) to get a ‘new user familiarization’ with our new spa. It was like they did not have time for us. They gave us a sheet of paper containing the chemical instructions. Fast forward two weeks and we were going on vacation for another two weeks. When we returned, the water was green. Had to dump the water and replace one of the filters. We went to Cal-West Pool and Spa their representative could not have been nicer. She showed my wife how to spa the spa filtration to ensure the cleanest water.

    So far, a bit disappointed.

This is our 2nd Jacuzzi Hot tub. Replaced a 16yr old Quantum Platinum Plus w/ this Awesome J-385! Our neighbors purchased other brand tubs that only lasted 6 & 8 yrs. No Question Jacuzzi tubs are built to last, quality product. The New J-385 is head & shoulders above the competition and so much better than our old tub. If you have never been in a Jacuzzi Hot Tub, you must actually try it and not for 5 minutes but for 20 minutes. There is a BIG difference. Specifically, the massaging action of the jets are unmatched. Other tubs might have more jets, but more is not necessarily better. The action of the water, the correct amount of air and pressure in each of the seats is the key. In the J385, each seat has jets that are optimal for a great stress relieving massage. Each seat in this new tub can have full or partial jet action and each jet can be adjusted for intensity. The foot-dome is a huge upgrade. We use the tub almost everyday. Our kids use the tub everyday after intense sports workouts/games (Football & Lax), or after skiing, running and it definitely helps speed recovery. Lastly, the tub is easy to use and maintain. It uses less electricity than our old tub and maintains the heat much better. We use the Pro-Clear system with MSP; water is crystal clear all the time and really love the Clear-Ray system. Yes the J385 might be more expensive, but in this case, you get what you pay for! Thanks Reliable Pools & Spas.

We search high and low to find the right hot tub for the right price. We thought that $7000 was tops but we couldn’t find any quality hot tubs. We look at every brand and most said they would last 12 to 15 years but jacuzzi said if you take care of it it could last 20 to 25 years. We love that. But when you look at other hot tub brands and then look and the quality of jacuzzi hot tubs nothing compares. We also learned what kinda things to look for and the bottoms of jacuzzi tubes are also another great selling point so nothing can get in and ruin wires like rodents. The warranties are nice too. Peace of mind for a while. We have had it only a month but have use it every night but one.

We’ve owned our J-385 for about a month now and absolutely enjoy everything about it – no issues at all and performs as we tested. We spent a few months shopping around, wet testing and ultimately the Jacuzzi brand and J-385 features met our needs for size (as we are taller) as we didn’t want to knock knees with the person next to you. The jets are great and the center dome jets massage the feet perfectly. And a shout out to our local dealer in Carlsbad, CA – Jay and Laurie have been awesome to work with!

I installed the spa myself and found it easy to do. It looks great. The quality of interior is very good, no corners cut to save money.

Getting the spa ready to use, filling and adding the spa chemicals was confusing with instructions from vender package and Jacuzzi manual contradict one another. Need one set of instructions. I found myself not knowing who to trust.

The snaps/clasps which cover the valve buttons fall off. This is a simple thing which should not be engineered to fall right into the water and require continuous reattachment. Quality control should have caught this on a $10k hot tub.

We’ve had our tub for two months now. A J-385 2014 showroom floor model. We had a rocky start with the service department of the dealer, but persistence and superior customer service through their sales department prevailed. We love our Jacuzzi hot tub. We have averaged getting in it every day since it was delivered. At first we were frustrated with the tub because we didn’t know about the summer time feature of the tub where it will not circulate the water if the temp is 2 degrees above the set point. We had our tub set at 90 and the water temp due to the summer heat was 97-98 degrees. Once we figured this out, and with a little practice, we were able to get the tub to the desired temp and still keep the tub circulating. We are getting better at balancing the chemicals, which is an art form in and of itself. Overall we are very pleased with our decision to buy a Jacuzzi. The people at WCI have been excellent the whole way through the purchase and with helping us first timers get a handle on how to manage our tub. We would definitely recommend them to our friends!

Our new hot tub was delivered on 4/17, BUT was not able to heat up the water until 4/22, and that was after a lot of people did ALOT of extra to get a brand new mother board to replace the one on the BRAND new hot tub. Extremely disappointing to not be able to sit in our BRAND new hot tub because it won’t heat up at all. All that new fancy technology that very few people knew how to use or fix. It works now, and we do enjoy, but I would be hesitant to recommend this brand in the future.

We’ve had our J-385 for about a month. I had a little trouble balancing all chemical levels, but all is well now. Our favorite deatures are the foot massager and cover lift assist. My family loves the tub. The only issue I’ve had are the pillows. I’ve had to returned 1 already. The replacement process through my retailer was not the easiest either. The new one they gave me is a slightly different color. For a tub of this price they seem very cheap and fall off all the time with normal use. The center part of the pillow that says Jacuzzi on it falls out as well.

The tub (J-385) is working and feels good, but I’m paying more for Jacuzzi because I thought I was getting a better product than I had with my previous brand. But the very first time I used it, one of the toggle buttons on the side that changes the air mix popped apart. Why can’t “high quality” manufacturers find quality- and durability-conscious designers and engineers to make stuff that doesn’t easily fall apart. Considering how much I paid for this brand new tub, I’m very disappointed with this.

We purchased the Jacuzzi about a month ago, and while we enjoy it, we would have liked more adjustability. This is our first Jacuzzi, and didn’t know what to look for in one. We basically figured if we get the best one in the store, we would be covered. Not quite. The tub slowly heats up aove our setting after we have been in for about a half hour o so. I believe this is the result of the motors heating up and in turn heating up the water. I imagine this would be offset in cooler weather. We shall see. Fall is just beginning. A high and low setting on the jets would be nice. An option for bubbles only would be nice too. The craftsmanship and quality of the tub as it is, is excellent. We would just like some more adjustability.

We purchased our jacuzzi during the summer of 2016. We took advantage of a sale at our local great escape. Our tub came in quickly and delivery was professional and helpful. We hooked up the electric, added water and the tub didn’t heat up. After calling the great escape I was initially told it would be a week before they could come out. After expressing my frustration with that they promptly sent out a tech and told me the circuit board was bad and would need to be replaced. A couple of days later it was up and running. It’s been almost a month and the chemicals are a bit tricky. This thing eats chlorine like crazy, but it’s so nice to get in after a long day at work and a blessing to relax in with the kids.

My wife and I use our spa about 5 times a week and love it. It’s very relaxing after a long day on your feet. The only issue we had was the instruction manual has only rutimentary water care instructions which contradicted the Jacuzzi water care instruction we were give at delivery so we went on line and those instructions contradicted everything else and the verbal instructions we were giving by the supplier contradicted everything. With the help of a local pool and spa supplier we were able to get our water clear and balanced.

First, due to relocating often with my job, this is our 4th Jacuzzi purchase. Our first spa was the J-200 Series, then J345, J-375, and now the J-385. Needless to say, we’re sold on the quality and reliability of the brand. As a matter of fact, my sister still has our J-200 and no major maintenance after 10 years of use.

We like the J-385 due to the roominess and features over our other models. Personally, we don’t like loungers after having a few tubs with them. They take up several seat spaces and if you don’t fit them just right it’s not an enjoyable experience.

The ClearRay System does seem to reduce the chlorine consumption and “helps” keep our water staying crystal clear. I think it’s very similar to an ozonater.

We have the stereo option and led lighting package. The stereo was used for soothing spa music for the first couple of weeks and now we hardly use it. I wouldn’t spend the extra $1000 on a stereo again. The led lighting gets used every time we’re in the tub and is a nice ambience. We also purchased the premium steps with led lighting and they match our cabinet nicely and actually do help with seeing when getting in and out at night.

We like the different depths of each seat. I’m 6′ and my wife is 5’5. Each corner seat has varying water depths and massage features so it’s nice to rotate around each seat.

I only have two minor frustrations with this tub. The stainless steel jets are starting to get harder to turn on and off. I check our water chemistry twice a week and I’m not sure why our jets do this. Replacement jets are not cheap! The other feature that would be nice is having a 2-speed pump in this price range. Sometimes I find myself adjusting the diffuser to get more pressure, however it then takes away from my wife if she’s on the opposite side. Maybe we can upgrade the pump at a later time to a 2-speed if we don’t move or maybe we’ll spend more on the J-400 Series next time.

Bottom line: Jacuzzi builds a great product and we are loyal owners. Other brands might be cheaper upfront but will cost you in the long run with maintenance issues. You get what you pay for and this product will last!

I had a Sundance for 10 years and decided to try a Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi Spa came with a leak which showed poor workmanship and took two different technicians to find and fix. Before it was fixed I wasted about 600 gallons of water. In addition to the leak I had to empty and refill the 500 gallon tub. At least one of the jets does not work properly and couldn’t be fixed. Jacuzzi was notified but I never heard from them. Not even “I sorry for the inconvenience.” The Sundance jets were more powerful and the Sundance had one very important feature that the Jacuzzi does not have: a handle to brace yourself when getting in and out. The best I can say about the Jacuzzi is that it is a beautiful spa. I must say the seller, LifeStyle has been very accommodating. Had it not been for them I would have demanded that Jacuzzi take the Spa back. If I had to do it again I would buy a Sundance (which I understand is owned by the same company) or a different brand.
