This was the first hot tub I bought. It was an anniversary gift for my wife of 25 years. I wish we would have taken it for a test drive first. My wife is 5’1” and I am 5’11”. Neither of us can get comfortable in it. We did have an older vita spa that I got for free($2500 in repairs after the giver told me it needed nothing). It was supposes to be the same size as the R7L we bought. the design was somewhat the same. However, the vita spa was perfect for lining up our back an our butts so that the water level was just right to our necks. It worked for both of us.
I called about how uncomfortable it was on our necks an none of the seats fit us well. The seats are not slopped so you don’t slip out like they where with the vita and the tub at the bottom was shallow. They said they have never had anyone complain about the bullfrog tub. I was kind of shocked at that because of how uncomfortable it was for both of us. They offered to sell us another one at a discount, but no returns. Thus, test drive before you buy!
I gave it 3 stars because it’s a hot tub, duh. My wife an I have made due , but strongly warn against buying before trying(can’t say that enough). Bring your suit and get in. If they don’t let you, don’t buy!
I assumed all tubs would fit us well, but 8600$ later I know better.
Have had it for 10 months now an waiting 50 more months an this is gone.
I own a car dealership an have only sold 1 car without someone driving it first. I should have known better.
