Light and zesty, this drink is great to sip on throughout the evening, inside or out of the hot tub. We recommend serving this drink in plastic champagne flutes, as to avoid the risk of bringing glass into the hot tub.
• 2 grapefruits, one for the drink and second for garnish
• 2 cups of ice
• 3 x 12oz cans of ginger soda
• 1 handful of fresh basil
• ¼ cup basil simple syrup
• Champagne (optional)
Juice one whole grapefruit and slice the second one for garnish. Fill a large pitcher halfway with ice. Next, pour soda, fresh grapefruit juice and simple syrup into the pitcher and mix well. Pour into glasses, garnish with grapefruit slices and fresh basil. If you wish, only fill the glasses halfway and top off with champagne. Remember, if you are adding alcohol it is not recommended to drink while in the hot tub.
